Matter-first
Every object ties back to the matter: time, documents, invoices, people. It’s how law firms actually work.
Firmtalk was founded on a simple idea: law firms don’t run on contacts, projects, or tickets. They run on matters. Every tool we build starts there.
Law firms are among the most knowledge-dense businesses in the world, yet most still run on a patchwork of six to ten tools that weren’t built for them. A CRM here, a DMS there, a spreadsheet for billing, email for everything else. Information gets lost between systems, partners lose visibility, and revenue leaks quietly.
We spent months sitting with managing partners, CFOs, and practice heads across boutique, mid-market, and full-service firms. The pattern was the same everywhere: every decision that mattered (which matters to prioritise, which clients to invest in, which partners to develop) required pulling numbers from four different places and reconciling them by hand. Most of those decisions never got made at all.
Firmtalk exists to fix that. One platform, built matter-first, where every object a firm actually runs on (time, documents, invoices, people, and financials) lives in the same context. Not one more tool bolted onto the stack. The system the firm runs on.
Every object ties back to the matter: time, documents, invoices, people. It’s how law firms actually work.
Visibility over features. Firmtalk is the first place partners look, not the seventh.

Bhairavi Desae is the Co-founder and CEO of Firmtalk, where she leads the company's vision and growth. She is focused on building a product that reflects how law firms actually operate, not how software vendors assume they do.
She drives product direction, customer experience, and go-to-market, with one clear goal: helping firms move off a patchwork of disconnected systems and onto a single platform. Her bias is toward software that is practical, that lawyers will actually use, and that shows up in the numbers.
Nikhil Nair is the Co-founder and CTO of Firmtalk, leading the technology and engineering behind the platform. He brings deep experience building secure, large-scale systems and turning complex workflows into simple, reliable software.
He owns Firmtalk's architecture and development, keeping everything from matter management to finance and integrations working as one connected system. His focus is software that holds up as firms grow, and that they can trust with their most sensitive data.
Sheell Desae is the Co-founder and CPO of Firmtalk, where he leads product strategy, design, and customer experience. With 16+ years across SaaS, product engineering, and startups, he has a sharp eye for what makes software usable, and what gets in the way.
He owns the end-to-end product experience, working closely with partners and lawyers to turn the reality of running a firm into a platform that feels built for them. He ships products that are intuitive, opinionated, and genuinely better than the workflows they replace.
